San Jose-based cooperative organization. [http://books.google.com/books?id=pDRPAAAAIAAJ&lpg=PA33&ots=g3FVuJ-pHB&dq=%22santa%20clara%20county%20fruit%20union%22&pg=PA34#v=onepage&q=%22santa%20clara%20county%20fruit%20union%22&f=false History] says that several cooperatives were formed during the 1890's; the [[Santa Clara Valley Fruit Exchange]] was affiliated with several of the other cooperatives, but the Santa Clara County Fruit Union appears to have stood apart.  The Union was also a delivery point for fruit for the California Cured Fruit Union during the 1900 season according to a [http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn85066387/1900-07-29/ed-1/seq-25/ story in the July 29, 1900 San Francisco Call.]

Secretary in 1900 was W. P. Cragin, according to a [http://cdnc.ucr.edu/cgi-bin/cdnc?a=d&d=PRP19000505.2.14&cl=CL2.1900.05&srpos=0&dliv=none&st=1&e=-------en-logical-20--1-----all--- letter to the editor] in the May 5, 1900 PAcific Rural Press.
