W.C. Hamilton was a San Jose manufacturer of fruit graders. One of the few bits of history to survive is his challenge of shipping rates for his machines in 1893.
An article in September 14, 1895 Pacific Rural Press shows picture of grader and bills it as the only one used by the California Fruit Exchange.
