George H. Hooke was a cannery superintendant and owner, first of the Los Gatos Fruit Packing Company in the 1890's, and then of Sunnyvale Canneries after sale of the Los Gatos plant to Hunt Brothers Packing Company in 1906.
Hooke lived in San Francisco in 1902, managing both the Los Gatos Canneries and wholesale Hooke-Field Company. His offices were at 220 Market Street in San Francisco, and his home at 2325 Pacific Ave.[1].
