A. Lusk & Company was an early wholesale grocer handling California founded in 1860. They began selling California-produced canned goods in 1867, and built their own cannery in San Francisco[1]. The company was run by William Jacobs and Albert Lusk. Jacobs's son, Isidor Jacobs, later took over the company. The company was either renamed or reorganized as California Canneries, and continued to operate through the early 1930's.
The company took over the Josiah Lusk Canning Company in 1887.
