Golden State Asparagus Company was California-based canner founded in 1901[1] Two of the company's canneries were on Andrus and Sherman islands in the Sacramento delta[2]. The company was sold by Captain Emil H. Nielsen to Western Canning in 1921[3].
The company was in receivership by 1937[4]
