Los Gatos-based drying yard and packer. H.D. Curtis's business is described in detail in Bruntz's History of Los Gatos. Curtis's plant was located at north end of town with private spur to railroad, and sold primarily to Europe where they were in competition with french fruit. Storage shed at corner of Cypress (now Roberts Rd) and University burned in 1901; Bruntz said the business supposedly never recovered, but Curtis is mentioned as a delivery point for Sunsweet in 1917.
