L. L. Nattinger and Son was a drying yard in Campbell, run by Lyman L. Nattinger. Nattinger's orchard and drying yard was on Leigh Avenue south of Hamilton Ave.
Nattinger was a former Civil War soldier on the Union side, and came to San Jose in 1875. He spent five years as the foreman at the San Jose Agricultural Works, and also ran his own carriage and wagon shop. He purchased the first part of the Leigh Avenue property in 1886 and planted it in prunes[1].
