Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter exited with status 126. Best Tractor was an early tractor and heavy equipment manufacturer based in Oakland, California. The C.L. Best Tractor company was founded by Clarence Leo Best who had started by working for his father's Best Manufacturing Company which built traction engines. Best's factory was in Elmhurst (East Oakland).
In 1925, Best merged with the Holt Manufacturing Company to form Caterpillar.
