Vincent Pavlicevich operated a fruit drying yard in San Jose between 1902 and at least 1912. Vincent was a native of Dalmatia who arrived in California in 1894. He worked for others for three years, and then got his own land and began buying and drying fruit.
His son, John, bought 26 acres on Union Ave in 1913.
