Tamal Packing was a San Francisco canner run by the Mailiard brothers (Ward Mailiard and ???). Charles Grondona was the president of the company in 1920[1]. Mailliard and Schmiedell was their distributor in 1923[2]

Van Camp purchased Tamal Packing in 1922 as part of their expansion into California[3].
