Dried Fruit Packer,Cooperative

The California Peach and Fig Growers was a grower-owned cooperative formed in 1916 as the "California Peach Growers". The California Fig Growers, started in 1918, merged with the organization in August, 1925. The company was laid low by depression, and also continually suffered from fig growers wishing to work with packers directly. The company was merged into the California Prune and Apricot Growers in October 1932. CP&AG bought the dried fig plants in Fresno, Reedley, Kingsburg, and Dinuba.
