The A. G. Col Company was a Santa Clara county fresh fruit wholesaler operated by A. G. Col. The company was described as "the largest wholesale green fruit and produce house in the Santa Clara valley"[1]. The company was apparently sold to the California Sweet Potato Corporation in August 1922; a later lawsuit by Col and J. P. Napoli claimed that others of the directors misused the new purchase and attempted to defraud them[2]. (The J. P. Napoli might be J. P. DiNapoli of Sun Garden Packing.)

Alphonso Col, the founder came to San Jose in 1879. He was a county auditor in 1902[3]; In 1911, he lived at 369 S. 5th St, with his storefront at 84 North Market St[4].
