The San Benito County Canning Company was a Hollister-based canner incorporated in 1920. Initial directors were I.E. Lepiane, F. A. Pellegrino, Frank Infelise, George de Armey, and Sam Cava. The building refurbished a former hay warehouse for canning[1]. Machinery had been ordered for installation in mid-1920[2].
The organization may have been organized with California Cooperative Canneries; news articles for the co-operative noted Sam Cava ran the Cooperative branch cannery in Hollister.
