H.E. Losse and Company was a dried fruit packer in San Jose, and the successor company to A. C. Kuhn & Company. The principal for the company was Henry E. Losse. The company started operating under this name around 1900. The San Jose packing house burned in 1911[1], and the company moved to his existing Santa Clara packing house. Losse sold the company to sold to Rosenberg Brothers in 1917.
The plant handled around 25,000,000 pounds of dried fruit a year.
The San Jose packing house was extended in 1902 with a third floor to the business and an office[2].
