The Higgins Beach Company was a Chicago dried fruit packer. They were listed in 1896 having a packing house located near San Jose's Market Street railroad station. The company appears in 1896 San Jose City directory.

The company was involved in E.B. Howard's defaults which brought down the Union Savings Bank of San Jose[1]. That article claimed Higgins Beach was closed in 1898 when the principal went insane.
