Early fruit company, led movement to bring California oranges, raisins, and dried fruits to market. Run by William Jacobs and Albert Lusk. Started in 1860, started selling canned fruit in 1867. Jacobs's son, Isidor, later took over the company. Company succeeded by California Canneries.
