New cannery supposedly under construction in July, 1930 on Berryessa Road. A later article on August 7, 1930 points out that the plant would be processing horse meat. George F. Cokely, "head of the plant", was buying 500 head of mustangs in Oregon to start the plant off.

An ad in the March 24, 1931 San Jose Evening News offers fresh horse meat for sale.

Being built in July, 1930 on Berryessa Road in San Jose. W.H. Luhrback will manage the plant (secretary and treasurer), Leascher and Mahoney of Phoenix are architects. Mentioned in July 9, 1930 San Jose Evening News
