Fruit packing house run by Elijah Skinner Whitney. Whitney was born in Maine, but moved to Santa Cruz in 1875. In 1885, he moved to Los Gatos, dropped out of running storefronts, and "switched to real estate and railway business" as agent for the Northern Pacific. In 1888, he lived near Los Gatos's downtown,[1]
By 1912, Whitney lived south of downtown San Jose at 98 San Jose Ave[2].
