Mentioned in December 1922 Western Canner and Packer as purchasing five acre site on Union Avenue at the SP Railroad in San Jose, and will establish a large dehydrating plant and packing house. R.W. King will have charge of plant operation; "Mr King is regarded by many as the greatest dehydrating expert in the United States."


A. G. Col manager. Construction was starting in January, massive dehydrator and packing plant planned, asking for bids. Expectation is 100 tons/day.
