Fruitvale Canning was an Oakland-based cannery operating in the mid 20th century. The company was founded by A. D. Pogetto in or before< 1941[2] The Pogetto family also held orchards in Loomis and the Suisun Valley[3]. In 1956, the company canned apricots, cherries, fruit cocktail, peaches, pears, and spinach.
The company may haver been acquired by Tri-Valley Canners. William Pogetto, one of the principals, eventually was a vice-president at Tri-Valley.
