Canning company organized in May 1944 to buy Greco Packing. Apart from the purchase details, Almaden Packing doesn't appear in searches, suggesting either that the purchase didn't happen, the company disappeared or changed its name, or the company sold out to someone else. The Greco plant was run by the Mission Valley Canning Company by 1947.

Organized in May 1944 to buy Greco Canning Company, according to Jan 2, 1945 San Jose Evening News. President of Greco at the time was G.W. Ellis, who said operations would continue. Organizers of the new company was John A. Oberg, Oakland, Frank Russell, Berkeley, Terence Coonan, San Francisco. In 1940, Oberg lived at 2930 Partridge Ave, Oakland.
