Frank Buxton's Dryer was an early dried fruit packer in downtown Campbell. Buxton's Dryer had a huge drying yard near the Campbell railroad depot. Buxton succeeded Fleming's Fruit Dryer, started in 1887, but sold to the Campbell Fruit Growers Union cooperative in July 1892[1].
Buxton was a founding member of the Fruit Driers and Packers' Association.
The Sunsweet Story[2] cites a story about his dryer and the mechnical marvels used in 1891.
